Queen of Katwe, a Disney movie I worked on as an assistant editor for much of the past year, debuted this weekend in U.S. theaters. It's a live action film based on the true story of Phiona Mutesi, a Ugandan girl who rose from the slums of Kampala to become the national chess champion. The film has received rave reviews and is fun, heartwarming, and truly special.
